Marianne McLaughlin (Thelma) has most recently performed at The Modern Spokane in The Ladies Foursome, Other Desert Cities, and The Glass Menagerie. She has been acting and directing in the Spokane area for over 20 years.She feels very fortunate to work with this talented Director, Cast, and Crew.
Emily Jones (Jessie) is so honored to be able to be a part of this production. Last seen in CDA as Pauline in A Bright New Boise, recent Modern roles also include The Housekeeper in Man of La Mancha and Annette Raleigh in God of Carnage. She is thankful to her whole family for their support and help in making these adventures possible.
Susan Hardie (Director) has directed or appeared in scores of productions throughout the Inland Northwest. Directing projects include Fiction, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and the 2013 AACT State Festival winner The Turn of the Screw at Spokane Civic Theatre; All My Sons and These Shining Lives at Whitworth University. Performances include The Cemetery Club, Steel Magnolias, and the national award-winning Getting Out. Susan hails from New York and is delighted to be working with The Modern.
Zachariah Baker (Score) is a director, composer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, actor, educator, and athlete. His work has been seen in nearly every Modern production since 2011. Hailing from the mountain town of Sandpoint, Idaho, he has an abiding love for nature and conservation. In his spare time, he enjoys various outdoor pursuits, Russian literature, and lifting heavy things. He is pleased and proud to continue to contribute to the artistic wealth of The Modern Theater and the Inland Northwest.
Matthew Gerard (Stage Manager) is a regular employee of The Modern. He has worked as crew and cast for the past two years. His favorite roles include Enjolras in Les Miserables, The Lounge Singer in Dogfight, and Charles Guiteau in Assassins.
